Garfield Cooperative Preschool has been teaching children in our community for 30 years. We are a private not-for-profit preschool located inside of the former Marshall Elementary School in Livonia. Children benefit from being in this location by learning and having fun in friendly school setting.
At Garfield Cooperative Preschool, we promote a play-based learning environment that creates a safe, nurturing atmosphere for children. We introduce and encourage the following concepts:
- Participation in a group setting with one's peers and helping adults
Being responsible for one's self and possessions and encouraging autonomy
Recognition of feelings and how to deal with them
Recognition of letters, one's name and how to write it
Recognition of colors, numbers, and shapes
Upon graduation, you can expect your child to be prepared to enter kindergarten with self-confidence and a happy, healthy attitude toward school.
